Photography Series
Minimum-Maximum or Stack Index is an experimental study still in the development and lab testing stages. Its goal is to combine many images taken at the same time frame into one composition using digital overlay techniques. As a result, a single photograph becomes a stack, allowing for the simultaneous viewing and reading of multiple images.
The visual language of the project is inspired by industrial and constructivist aesthetics, experimental films, and the aesthetics of multiple imagery techniques. Accordingly, subjects bearing both geometric and historical density—such as industrial landscapes, infrastructural elements, or ancient city ruins—offer an ideal ground for cultivating this aesthetic. Thus, the project becomes legible not only as a technical process but also through its formal and historical references.
Regarding the presentation, exhibiting the work in a diptych format is considered a possibility. However, no strict format limitation is imposed; the prospect of an experimental film is being seriously considered. At present, alternative exhibition methods that coincide with the production process are being explored. Through this aesthetic, which is intended to strengthen the project’s experimental character, the aim is to allow the work to be reinterpreted in various contexts, both in terms of content and form.
Hesaplamalar: Minimum-Maximum ya da Stack Index, hâlen geliştirme ve laboratuvar testleri aşamasında olan deneysel bir çalışmadır. Projenin amacı, aynı zaman aralığında çekilmiş çok sayıda görüntüyü dijital üst üste bindirme teknikleri aracılığıyla tek bir kompozisyonda birleştirmektir. Bu süreç sonucunda tekil bir fotoğraf bir yığına dönüşür; böylece birden fazla imgenin eşzamanlı olarak izlenmesine ve okunmasına imkân tanır.
Projenin görsel dili; endüstriyel ve konstrüktivist estetikten, deneysel filmlerden ve çoklu imge tekniklerinin estetiğinden beslenir. Bu doğrultuda endüstriyel peyzajlar, altyapı unsurları ya da antik kent kalıntıları gibi hem geometrik hem de tarihsel yoğunluk taşıyan konular, bu estetiğin geliştirilmesi için uygun bir zemin sunar. Böylece proje yalnızca teknik bir süreç olarak değil, biçimsel ve tarihsel referansları aracılığıyla da okunabilir hâle gelir.
Sunum açısından, çalışmanın diptik formatında sergilenmesi olası seçeneklerden biri olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Bununla birlikte, kesin bir format sınırlaması öngörülmemektedir; deneysel film ihtimali de ciddiyetle düşünülmektedir. Mevcut aşamada, üretim süreciyle örtüşen alternatif sergileme yöntemleri araştırılmaktadır. Projenin deneysel karakterini güçlendirmesi amaçlanan bu estetik aracılığıyla, çalışmanın hem içerik hem de biçim bakımından farklı bağlamlarda yeniden yorumlanabilmesine olanak sağlanması hedeflenmektedir.
